The work was ready. I wasn't.

Have you ever poured all of yourself into something…
only to delay releasing it?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that.
And then sat there wondering:

What the heck is wrong with me?

We don’t really say this part out loud.
We just sit in it.

Publishing purgatory.

It’s not discipline.
And it’s not perfectionism, confidence, or imposter syndrome.

It is fear.

Just not the kind people usually talk about.

I’ve been thinking about this more lately.
In my own work… and in what I see around me.
